Jenny Davies | Career & Leadership Coaching Strategies

Introducing Jenny Davies, the owner and founder of Jenny Davies Coaching Strategies. With over twenty-five years of professional experience, Jenny has recently started her own business to help others excel in their careers and leadership roles.

Jenny’s passion for coaching comes from her extensive background in healthcare finance, where she saw firsthand the importance of strong, conscious leadership. Her goal is to leave a positive impact by fostering leadership development and guiding others on their professional journeys.

Jenny Davies Coaching Strategies offers a range of services, including leadership development training, coaching, and consulting for individuals, groups, and teams. Her programs, which are backed by research, cover key areas such as emotional intelligence, managing change, authenticity, stress management, connection to purpose, and presence. Jenny is also available for public speaking and motivational engagements, bringing a touch of fun and play to her work.

It’s been amazing getting to know Jenny over the last few months, and I am excited for you to get to know her too!

Where are you located and what areas do you serve? I’m located in Western Massachusetts, and serve clients in the United States. I have some availability to travel; some services can be provided in a virtual setting.

How do you maintain a work-life balance while running a small business and what strategies or practices have helped you navigate the demands of entrepreneurship? I’m often thinking about the mind-body-spirit connection. Scheduling time for exercise, reading at the end of most every day and daily prayer are some practices that help me with balancing the demands of work-life.

How do you define success?  I survived a serious health crisis about nine years ago and the experience was transformative for me, leading me to refine my definition of success. One area that defines success for me is experiencing joy.

What were you doing before you started business? And what else are you doing now? Most of my professional background has been in healthcare finance, and most recently, I worked for a large hospital system, serving as Director of Finance for the laboratories. Besides working in my business, I do some improvisational comedy, and am active in professional organizations and networking groups.

What role does community involvement play in your business? How do you get involved locally? It’s important to me to give back, and I’ve embraced meaningful volunteer opportunities. This year, I’ve been serving as a volunteer mentor in the EforAll Pioneer Valley Business Accelerator program.

Also, as a survivor of ovarian cancer, I’ve served for a number of years as a volunteer speaker for Survivors Teaching Students (R), an outreach of the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance The program brings ovarian cancer survivors to medical schools to share stories of survivorship along with facts about the disease.

I have a strong belief that through my business in developing great, highly conscious leaders, I’ll be helping individuals and businesses in my community grow and prosper.

What’s the last show you binge watched? Emily in Paris comes to mind. It’s got so many things that light me up… comedy, beautiful setting, quirky characters, music and fashion.

If you could offer one piece of advice to your younger self, what would it be? Have more fun with fashion.

Coffee or Tea? I love my coffee in the morning. I drink that first cup before I do almost anything else in the morning…often standing right at the kitchen counter. (I usually switch over to tea by 10 AM and have a couple of herbal teas that I like a lot. Pukka elderberry echinacea is my favorite.)

If you could learn a new skill or hobby overnight, what would it be? I’d become an expert in Tai Chi overnight, if I could.

Tell us about your pets – We have a dog named Max. He’s a hound mix that came from Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA. He “works like a dog” all day, he’s always happy to see us, and has prime space on the couch.

Jenny will be speaking at the AHRA National Conference (for radiology professionals) in August 2024. The topic is Building Emotional Intelligence through Applied Improvisation.

And also has a workshop coming up on the evening of June 20th. 2024 The topic is Improve Your Decision Making in Uncertain Times. Tickets are available on Eventbrite
