Western Massachusetts Personal Chef | Ashley Tresoline of Bella Foodie

Ashley Tresoline is a Western Massachusetts personal chef who has spent years using cuisine to spread her love of health and wellness. After learning the power of clean eating, Ashley knew she had to share it with her community. Keep reading to learn about Ashley’s story and what’s next for Bella Foodie!

How long has Bella foodie been around? And what inspired you to start it? 

Bella Foodie has been in business for 9 years. I always loved cooking and it has always been an interictal part of my family. When I was diagnosed with MS, I learned how powerful using food as medicine can be. I changed my mindset around food and how we use it to fuel our bodies. I wanted to share that knowledge with people.

What were you doing bella foodie? And or what else are you doing now (school/work etc) 

How would you describe Bella Foodie?  I always tell people that healthy starts from the inside out. Bella Foodie helps people find the power of clean eating and using food as medicine for the body and soul. 

What is your favorite meal to cook? 

My favorite meal to cook is spaghetti and eggplant “meatballs”. It is so simple and delicious. If I want to relax and destress I love to bake. My neighbors always know when I am stressed, because I bake so much that I start sharing with the neighbors.

What is your favorite place in your office/studio/home? 

The bedroom, I know most people would think it would be the kitchen. The kitchen is my happy place. The bedroom is where I get to relax at the end of a long day and take a breath.

What products/services do you offer?

Bella Foodie offers a range of products for Individuals and businesses a like. We offer Private Cooking Classes, Customized Meals , Meal Planning, Curated Events and Specialty Events for individuals. For businesses we offer Special Event Catering, Team Building Outings and Brand Partnerships.

What’s your favorite thing about your business? Most rewarding?

One of my favorite things about my job is seeing people make progress and see that light go off in their brain is everything clicks into place. I also love teaching the Mini Foodies to Cook! 

Do you prefer to cook your own meals or dine out?

I prefer to cook my own meals more than dine out. That way I can control the quality of ingredients and the salt and fats in the dish. I do love to dine out now and then.

What do you do for fun in your down time? 

I love to read and I have started getting back into that lately. Spending time with my friends and getting outside in nature.

What motto/quote do you always try to live by?  

Treat others as you wish to be treated. The Golden rule we learn as kids. “You don’t have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces—just good food from fresh ingredients.” – Julia Child I always use that philosophy for work.

Scented candle of choice: 

I actually prefer essential oils in a diffuser to scented candles.

What do you want to achieve in the future? 

I would love to spread my message of Food as Medicine and staying healthy from the inside out to a broader audience. Whether it be a cookbook, a show or speaking.
