How would you describe your business?

My passion is to help other animal owners and make sure their animals are treated with the best care ever.

All of my dog treats and cakes are made with human ingredients with nothing but love.

What makes your business unique?

I have had a special needs dog that was in a wheelchair and cancer, so I am extremely knowledgeable with pet care.

All of my dog and cat clients are treated like they are my own.

I make holistic treats and Reiki certified and would like to offer this service soon to all my clients.

What motivates you?

Financial Freedom, making my own schedule and working for myself.

My passion, and am extremely driven to be successful.

What were you doing before you started business?

Human Resources Manager

And/or what else are you doing now (school/work etc.)

Real Estate License

How do you maintain a work-life balance while running a small business and What strategies or practices have helped you navigate the demands of entrepreneurship?

I am working on this aspect of my business, especially since it’s in the beginning stages.

At night when I get home, I love to take my own dog Tux for a walk and decompress.

I started working with a business coach to help me make more strategic decisions.

What’s your favorite thing about your business?

Being around dogs and animals every day. They just automatically make me smile and have a great day.

Most rewarding? Most challenging?

The Most rewarding is when I receive messages about how much I mean to my clients and their pets.

The Most Challenging is scheduling conflicts make things challenging at times and certain weather conditions are hard at times, walking dogs for 7 hours a day.

Also, I also have a hard time charging appropriate prices for my treat’s cakes and services, which is something I am working on.

What motto/quote do you always try to live by?

Do what makes you happy.

My gramma always said … “it’s nice to be nice.”

How do you define success?

Freedom. Freedom to travel, freedom to make your schedule, freedom to keep opening more businesses and loving what you do day in and day out even on the hard days.

What advice would you give to aspiring female entrepreneurs who are just starting their own businesses?

Create very good networks in the city and surrounding cities to make a name for yourself.

Start small and don’t leave your FT job until you are able to pay yourself, so you don’t have financial burdens during the growth process. Also, trust yourself and your capabilities

What do you want to achieve in the future?

I have a large goal and idea that I want but it’s too secret! I want to be happy and achieve success by being the top pet Services company in Western Mass. Additionally, I would love a Miami style online pet boutique within the next year.
