Laurie Ann Jewelry is a mother-daughter team that is creating timeless handcrafted wood earrings in Massachusetts. I’m fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet Sarah, Laurie Ann’s daughter and brand ambassador, and learn a little bit more about who they are and what they have to offer. How long has Laurie Ann around? And what inspired you to start it?
My mom actually started making earrings in 2020 over the pandemic, it wasn’t until 2021 when I as her daughter wore them to work one day at Kripalu center for yoga & health and everyone wanted a pair, So I started bringing them in and giving them to people. The word kept getting out and eventually it became a business. It became Laurie Ann Jewelry.
What were you doing before Laurie Ann? And or what else are you doing now (school/work etc)
I’m currently Staying at home making things which is my passion and currently making more earrings.
How would you describe Laurie Ann?
Laurie Ann is bohemian Wood Jewelry designed for the free spirit and healers of the world. My daughter Sarah is also my ambassador/yoga teacher, and is the inspiration behind all the names of the earrings.
Which is your favorite jewelry piece to date? Why?
My favorite piece in the collection is SPHINX. The intricate design and shape of the wood is beautiful.
What is your favorite place in your office/studio/home?
My favorite place is my craft studio where I spend most of my time making things. I love being surrounded by creativity and art; it inspires me daily.
What products/services do you offer?
Currently I’m making earrings and I do have other new ventures coming up, so we’ll have to wait and see!

I think about Opening up my own boutique that has always been one of my childhood dreams. A place where I can showcase all my art and designs.
What’s your favorite thing about your business? Most rewarding? Most challenging?
My most favorite thing about my business is creating these beautiful pieces of jewelry for women to wear, the reward is seeing how happy they are making women. The most challenging is the marketing, photography and all the things that go behind the scenes of running a business that most people don’t see. It takes a lot of hard work and that’s where my daughter comes in, she good with all that. I love to just make the jewelry and she takes care of the other things. Without her this wouldn’t have come to fruition, so I’m blessed and beyond thankful to have her in this with me.
What do you do for fun in your down time?
In my down time I like to read and watch dateline. I’m a huge fan of mysteries and solving crimes!
What motto/quote do you always try to live by?
Every day I wake up, I tell myself to live one day at a time and enjoy the day I’m living in. That’s my motto.
What do you want to achieve in the future?
I hope to achieve success in all my endeavors and can’t wait to see where this journey takes me.
